AS9100D and ISO 9001 certified, and an approved supplier of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, with supplier numbers at leading Israeli defense companies. This page lists what we hold, what each certification means for you as a buyer, and how to get copies for your supplier file.

When you buy a printed part for a prototype, it is enough that the part looks right. When the part goes into an aerospace, defence or industrial system, the first question is usually about the manufacturer rather than the part: does it run a certified quality management system, and can it make the same part the same way again next year?

Indus3D is an additive manufacturing bureau in Israel. We run nine printing technologies, including in-house metal printing on SLM 500 and EOS M290 systems, with CNC machining and 3D scanning in-house.

AS9100D — aviation, space and defence

AS9100 is the quality management standard written for the aviation, space and defence industries. It is built on ISO 9001 and adds requirements that reflect what is at stake when a part fails in those industries. The “D” marks the current revision of the standard.

On top of ISO 9001, the standard addresses, among other things:

  • Configuration management — controlling drawing revisions and changes, so a part is made to the revision you ordered
  • Prevention of counterfeit parts — control over where materials come from
  • Risk management built into the processes, not only inspection at the end
  • Product safety and awareness of it across the organisation
  • Control of nonconforming output — how a deviation is recorded and handled

What it means for you: in aerospace and defence purchasing, AS9100 is often a precondition for adding a supplier to the approved list. Working with a certified supplier gives your quality team a recognised starting point; what else your own supplier approval requires is for your team to decide, and we will help with the information it asks for.

ISO 9001 — quality management

ISO 9001 is the international standard for quality management. It does not certify a single part; it certifies the system behind every part: how an order is received, how a file is reviewed, how a material is chosen, how the work is documented, and what happens when something goes wrong.

What it means for you: a documented, audited way of working, which is the basis for repeatability from one batch to the next.

Manufacturer certifications

We are an authorized supplier for Stratasys and HP, and we hold these manufacturer certifications:

  • Certified for HP Jet Fusion 3D printers — the HP Multi Jet Fusion process. MJF 3D printing
  • Stratasys Academy – FDM Certification for AM Engineers. FDM 3D printing
  • Stratasys Academy – PolyJet Certification for AM Designers. PolyJet 3D printing
  • Stratasys Academy – P3 Certification for AM Engineers

What it means for you: these certifications come from the machine makers themselves, for the systems your parts are made on.

Requesting certificates

We do not publish certificate numbers on the website. Copies of the current certificates are sent on request:

  • Email [email protected] and tell us which certificates your supplier file needs, or
  • Ask for them with your quote request through our quote form.

If your supplier approval process needs further information or a questionnaire filled in, send it with the request and we will come back with what we can provide.

Quality in practice

  • Nine printing technologies — FDM, FFF, SLA, DLP/P3, SLS, MJF, SAF, PolyJet and SLM/DMLS — so the process is chosen for the part, not the other way round
  • Metal printed in-house on SLM 500 and EOS M290 systems
  • CNC machining in-house, for the features that need tighter tolerances than printing gives
  • 3D scanning and reverse engineering in-house
  • From a single prototype to series of thousands of units
  • Over 500,000 parts a year, for more than 300 customers a year

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between AS9100D and ISO 9001?

ISO 9001 is the general international standard for quality management. AS9100D is built on ISO 9001 and adds requirements specific to aviation, space and defence, such as configuration management, prevention of counterfeit parts and risk management. Indus3D holds both.

Can I get copies of your certificates?

Yes. Certificate copies are sent on request. Email [email protected] or mention it in your quote request, and tell us which certificates your supplier file needs. We do not publish certificate numbers on the website.

Are you an approved defence supplier?

Indus3D is an approved supplier of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, with supplier numbers at leading Israeli defense companies.

What do the HP and Stratasys certifications mean?

We are an authorized supplier for Stratasys and HP. We are certified for HP Jet Fusion 3D printers, and hold the Stratasys Academy FDM Certification for AM Engineers, PolyJet Certification for AM Designers and P3 Certification for AM Engineers. They are certifications from the machine makers themselves, for the systems your parts are made on.

Does working with a certified supplier replace our own supplier approval?

No. Our certifications give your quality team a recognised starting point, but what your supplier approval requires is your decision. Send us your questionnaire or requirements and we will provide the information we can.

Do you print metal in-house?

Yes. Metal parts are printed in-house on SLM 500 and EOS M290 systems, and CNC machining is done in-house as well.

Where is Indus3D located?

Our main office is in Moshav Petahia and our factory is in Kiryat Shmona, in northern Israel.

Need a certified supplier for your part?

Send a STEP or STL file with the material, quantity, critical tolerances and the quality requirements that apply, and we will tell you plainly how we can make it. Ask for the certificates in the same request.
