Indus3D runs an additive manufacturing house with a range of technologies under one roof, so the team includes three kinds of people working together on the same project: product designers who take an idea or a sketch and build a model that can actually be made, engineers who choose the technology and the material against what the part really has to do, and machine operators who know how each printer and each material behaves.
When the design, the production and the finishing are in the same place, nobody throws the problem over the fence. If a production problem shows up in the file, it is fixed in the design rather than compensated for on the machine. If a part does not come out right, we know exactly which stage it happened at.
